Welcome to the Golden Threads of Wisdom blog, where I will share my research and deep dives into topics that interest me.

As I start this website and blog, I'm still in the exploration phase and searching for topics I want to dive deeper into. I might cast a wider net at the beginning, and it may take some time before I narrow it down, but I have faith in the process and that I will find the topic(s) that'll light a fire in me.

The Heroine’s Journey

The first book I will read and write about here on Golden Threads of Wisdom is on a topic that’s interested me for some time. The book is The Heroine’s Journey by Maureen Murdock.

I’ve read Joseph Campbell’s The Hero with a Thousand Faces on and off for quite some time, trying to get through it even though I didn’t feel like it resonated with me. So, when a YouTube video talking about Murdock’s book showed up on my feed one or two months ago, I decided that I needed to read it.

How often I post my research notes on the book depends on how long the chapters are and how many notes I make. However, I do know that I won’t speed-read the book. I can’t promise anything, but I think 1 chapter per week might be doable.

I’m not going into the book with any expectations. All I know is that I’m curious about this topic, and that’s good enough for me at this point. Again, I’m casting a wider net now at the beginning of my journey here on Golden Threads of Wisdom, and it may take some time before I narrow it down. This is a good place to start, though.
